Barbadian singer, actress and fashion designer Rihanna will be honoured by Parsons School of Design at its 69th annual benefit in May this year, for her 'unwavering commitment to self-expression and leadership'.

The Work hitmaker, also awarded Harvard's Humanitarian of the Year in February, commented 'I consistently find creative and exciting designs coming from Parsons alumni, so I feel a deep connection to the school. But, I am especially grateful that Parsons would recognise me for the work I've done in regards to philanthropy'.
