Young restaurateur George Pitkeathley burst on to the food scene after launching the first permanent outfit of Indian street food venture Pilau, which started out as a small but popular pop-up project, late last year.

Beginning his career by washing dishes at 14, he quickly proved himself as one to watch after becoming one of London’s youngest restaurant managers at 19 and then Maître D' at the prestigious Rosewood hotel. With another Pilau outfit in the pipeline, a cookbook, and deals with Deliveroo and Uber, it’s no wonder this 23 year old is featured in CODE Hospitality’s 30 Under 30 list.
