Revenant star Tom Hardy has lent his voice to PETA US's new campaign video, urging people to treat dogs like family members and not leave them chained up outside in the cold.

Other celebrities, including Casey Affleck, Edie Falco, Bill Maher, Priyanka Chopra, D.R.A.M., Kate del Castillo and Courtney Stodden have also lent their voices to the campaign, which features real-life footage of neglected animals and sees Hardy asking viewers 'When you first got me, did you know that you were going to chain me up and leave me outside? Even in the cold and snow? If you did, then why did you get me at all?'.
