British novelist and bookseller Joseph Knox is set to be the biggest crime debut of 2017 with his smash hit Sirens, which has already made an appearance on the Sunday Times bestsellers list.

Sirens, bought by Transworld in 2016 after a ten-way auction, is the first novel in a series about troubled junior detective Aidan Waits as he tries to save runaway Isabelle Rossiter. Knox has been praised by legendary crime writer Val McDermid, who described his debut novel as 'a powerhouse of noir', while Lee Child called it 'razor-sharp urban noir - very special indeed'.
