Former Great British Bake Off co-host Sue Perkins has become the first UK celebrity to lend her voice to the navigation app Waze this Christmas.

Perkins follows the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Morgan Freeman in voicing directions for the app, and she commented 'I have been half of the voice of baked goods for seven years, so to now be the exclusive voice of something is like a dream come true. It's fascinating to know that thousands of "Wazers" will download my voice this Christmas and trust me to guide them through the streets of Britain. I'll be the first to get on board and download myself, after all nothing could be more fun than drawing 2016 to a close by sitting in my very own narcissistic echo chamber'.
