Welsh homeless charity Shelter Cymru has announced award-winning actor Rhys Ifans as its first campaigns ambassador.

The Notting Hill star commented 'I have always been aware of the work of Shelter Cymru and now I am stepping up to help them campaign to end homelessness in Wales. I believe it's cruel that this Christmas over 1,100 children in Wales will be without a home, this is wrong. I hope you will join me and support the charity's work, and not forget that homelessness can happen to anyone'.
