Debut novelist Sarah Driver looks set to be one of the most exciting YA debuts in 2017, with her novel The Huntress, the first in a trilogy, released in March.

Recommended for fans of Philip Pullman and Frances Hardinge, The Huntress follows 13 year old Mouse, whose life is thrown into turmoil when her brother is in danger, her father goes missing and a sickness begins to sweep the world. Driver, who has an MA in writing from Bath Spa University and used to work as a midwife, has a distinctive and interesting voice, and The Huntress will prove to be a huge hit with children and adults alike.
