British actor Adrian Lester has been named patron of The Primary Shakespeare Company, and will help the company work with primary school children to engage with Shakespeare across the curriculum.

Lester joins Hugh Bonneville and Billie Piper in the role, and he commented 'The Primary Shakespeare Company encourage the children to spend time with the plays and to really begin to understand how many ideas Shakespeare put into a page'.
