British newsreader and TV presenter John Suchet has teamed up with Classic FM to present the new 15 part series Mozart: The Man Revealed, which will broadcast every Saturday from September 10 to December 17.

The series accompanies Suchet's new book, which is titled the same, and he commented 'The basic facts of Mozart’s life are well-known. Austrian-born, with a tyrant of a father who drove him relentlessly, an unhappy marriage to a spendthrift wife, a childlike character ill at ease amid the pomp and aristocratic splendour of the Viennese court, and an early death which robbed the world of its most instinctive musical genius. But in reality only the last is true. Over 15 weeks on Classic FM, I will dispel the myths and reveal the real man behind some of the most beautiful music ever written'.
