Grime MC Elf Kid has recently emerged as one of the faces of the genre’s ‘new generation’ of rappers.

His debut single Golden Boy, released early 2016, received rave reviews from NME, Noisey and MTV UK and his energetic live performances have resulted in him recording a number of live freestyle sessions on BBC Radio 1Xtra. The Lewisham based MC’s talent was also noticed by the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan who invited him to perform at British Underground’s Grime Showcase at British House in Rio at an event curated for the 2016 Olympics. Speaking after the event, Khan said the 19 year old ‘will show the world how grime music represents London’s diverse culture’.
