Enough Abuse UK has announced Rebekah Vardy, wife of England footballer Jamie Vardy, as its new ambassador.

She commented ‘When I was suffering as a child, I tried to speak out and wasn't believed, I felt like I didn't have a voice so I kept it all inside. I have now found myself in the public eye and am in the privileged position of having a voice, so I will put that to good use. I am delighted to become an ambassador to EAUK and will work with them to educate children, parents and teachers to identify the behavioural signs of abused children who are all too often passed off as problem children, which is exactly what happened to me'.
