The National Lottery and ITV have launched I Am Team GB, the UK's biggest sports day, taking place nationwide on August 27 and hosted by Olympic athletes.

The public are encouraged to visit www.iamteamgb.com to find out where the free activities are in their area, and ITV will be turning its transmissions off for an hour on the day to encourage people to 'get moving'. Track and field athlete Greg Rutherford, one of the activity hosts, commented 'There are going to be thousands of fun, free events across the country so make sure you sign up, get involved and be part of Team GB'.
