British athlete James Cracknell has partnered with The Great West Run, where he will help develop and grow the profile of the run regionally.

Cracknell has also invested funds into the annual event, which takes place October 16 in Exeter, and commented 'I'm very excited to get involved because I genuinely believe people get a huge amount out of setting themselves challenges and achieving goals which they can take back into their everyday lives'.
