Since catching the eye of casting agents just a few years ago, 19 year old Sasha Lane has been tipped as having major star power and her big screen debut in Andrea Arnold's American Honey didn't disappoint, with critics singling her out as one of the Cannes Film Festival's breakout stars.

While her grungy, intense looks have ensured she's captivating on screen, her brief on-set romance with co-star Shia LaBeouf has also ensured she's already a staple of gossip sites. Now the young actress looks set for the mainstream after being cast as the lead in Hunting Lila, an adaptation of Sarah Alderson's YA novel about a teenage girl with dangerous powers on the run. Talking about her casting, the project's director Paul Franklin described Lane as 'one of the most exciting young actresses'.
