Work hitmaker Rihanna has announced the launch of a global scholarship programme through her Clara Lionel Foundation, which aims to improve the quality of life for communities globally by promoting programmes in the areas of health, education, arts and culture.
The scholarship is specifically for citizens or natives of Brazil, Barbados, Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana or Jamaica, who will continue their education in the United States. In a video, Rihanna says 'We want college graduates in our programme. A lot of these kids, they're really smart and they're doing really really well in school but they might not have the access or the financials to really take it any further than that so that's why we started this programme'.
