Dot has been announced as BBC 1Xtra's Breakfast host, making her the first female solo host in the station's history. A.Dot, also known as Amplify Dot, joined 1Xtra presenting the weekend show in 2014, and takes over the role of breakfast host on July 4. A.Dot said 'This is unbelievable. I can't believe actual people are going to be waking up to my voice every day! I can't wait to kick start your mornings with enough music and mayhem to get you through the day. Breakfast will never be the same again!'.
