ITV News presenter Alastair Stewart has been named as the new patron for horse and donkey welfare charity The Brooke.

Stewart, who joins Charlotte Dujardin in the role, said 'Becoming patron for The Brooke is a huge honour. I have supported them for a number of years, attending events and following their work closely, so I already know it's a great charity that does vital work for the world's most vulnerable horses, donkeys and mules. I'm looking forward to learning more, experiencing the work first-hand and taking an active role to help raise the profile of this wonderful charity'.
