Saint Laurent has appointed Anthony Vaccarello as Creative Director of the label, just days after it was revealed Hedi Slimane was leaving the legendary French fashion house.

Designer Vaccarello announced he was to step down from his role at Versus Versace at the weekend. Francesca Bellettini, President and CEO of Saint Laurent, commented 'I am extremely happy to have Anthony Vaccarello take the creative helm of Yves Saint Laurent. His modern, pure aesthetic is the perfect fit for the maison. I am enthusiastic about embarking on a new era with Anthony Vaccarello'.
