18 year old Walsall born singer/songwriter Jorja Smith recently emerged with her popular debut single Blue Lights, capturing the attention of taste makers with its socially conscious lyrical content.

The track features a vocal sample from one of the grime scene’s pioneers and Smith's influencers, Dizzee Rascal, and following its release- as well as a selection of intimate gigs - Smith, now based in London, has won plaudits from critics at BBC Radio 1, The Sunday Times, NME, Complex and i-D, as well as the likes of Maverick Sabre, Stormzy and Skrillex. Her vocals paired with her lyrical maturity, as well as a rapidly growing fan base, suggest the young singer has a bright future.
