Doctor Who actors Peter Capaldi and The Estate Of Sir John Hurt are supporting the Wear Your NHS campaign, photographed by Sarah Sheldrake wearing t-shirts designed by Dame Vivienne Westwood, in support of the NHS and junior doctors, who are striking as a result of government cuts.

Capaldi echoes his roles in The Thick of It and Doctor Who with captions including 'Don't let spin doctors exterminate the NHS'. Hurt commented 'The most important thing is that they [doctors] are not to be mistrusted. They do not [go on strike] for fun. It is about medicine. Medicine shouldn't be anything to do with politics at all. Politics should be bending over backwards to support medicine'. The campaign was founded by Senior Registrar in Psychiatry Dr Lauren Gavaghan.
