Celebrities including Eamonn Holmes, Johnny Vegas, Rebecca Adlington and Ella Eyre have teamed up with the Dogs Trust to support its 'A Dog is for Life, not just for Christmas' campaign, creating a video in which they read out 'shocking' reasons that people have given up their dogs to Dogs Trust, including 'He didn't pay attention to the baby', 'All he did was sleep' and 'She was scared of tin foil'.

Jon Richardson, Amanda Abbington, Mel Giedroyc, Katherine Ryan, Hayley Tamaddon, Kate Humble, Jon Culshaw, Dame Arlene Phillips and Clive Anderson also appear in the video.
