Holly Seddon's debut novel Try Not to Breathe is set for release January 7, 2016, published in the UK by Corvus.

A psychological thriller that promises to be 2016's The Girl On The Train, the story follows alcoholic reporter Alex as she investigates the case of Amy, who's been in a coma for 15 years since she was attacked as a schoolgirl. Told in a dual narrative as it follows both Alex's gritty story and Amy's dreamy flashbacks, this compelling novel combines elements of a thriller with a classic whodunnit to provide a story that's packed with twists and turns as it investigates violence, alcoholism and the truth about patients in vegetative states. Seddon's career as a writer has been wide-ranging, including non-fiction title Adoption and Fostering: A Parent's Guide, music website Muso's Guide and Vine Magazine column Mumblings about motherhood; her newest venture as an novelist with Try Not to Breathe alongside comparisons with Gillian Flynn and Laura Lippman looks set to catapult her into the big time.
