Channel 5 has announced Sian Williams as the new face of its flagship evening news programme, 5 News at 5.

Williams, who is best recognised for presenting on the BBC, commented 'I've always admired ITN’s approach to news and 5 News's output, both domestic and international, is consistently high quality and accessible. With Channel 5 pledging to boost its coverage even further, it's a terrific opportunity and an exciting challenge to join this talented and impressive team'. She takes up the role in the new year.
