100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WHF) has announced Sophie, Countess of Wessex as the global ambassador of its Next Generation initiatives, launched in January.

The initiatives aim to 'inspire, mentor and provide access and peer network support to young women looking to start their careers in finance and investments'. As global ambassador, The Countess of Wessex will serve as an advocate for increased diversity in the financial services industry, and for raising the industry's visibility and appeal as young women consider career paths.
