Comedian and TV presenter Jon Stewart and his wife Tracey have announced they're supporting Farm Sanctuary, which gives help to animals rescued from factory farms, by opening their own farm.

As they accepted the the Gift of Life Award at the event, Tracey announced that the pair has bought a farm in New Jersey which will become Farm Sanctuary's fourth branch, giving a home to abused animals and provide a place for advocates to work. Stewart is best known for his work on The Daily Show, on which he frequently championed animal rights.
