British star Mark Strepan is quite literally bringing new blood to BBC spy drama New Blood, following his casting in the Anthony Horowitz penned drama.

The newcomer - previously seen in Channel 4's The Mill and Northmen: A Viking Saga, opposite True Blood hunk Ryan Kwanten - was plucked as one of two rising stars to feature in the major new series, which will hit TV screens in 2016. Strepan plays a Polish/British junior investigator at the heart of the seven-part thriller currently shooting in London, alongside stalwart actors Mark Addy and Anna Chancellor.
