British actress and activist Dame Joanna Lumley has teamed up with Animal Defenders International (ADI) to launch a fundraising appeal to enable the animal protection organisation to rescue two bears - Lucho and Sabina - in urgent need of help and return them to their natural forest home.

The bears have been seized by wildlife officials and placed in a private facility, and Lumley urged the public to 'Please donate now to give these bears the storybook ending they deserve'.
