You'd be forgiven for thinking you had been transported back to the mid-1960s when looking at British photographer Juno Calypso's latest work, which has a kind of sci-fi meets Jackie Kennedy vibe.

The series is a result of a lone road trip to a honeymoon hotel in Pennsylvania after finding pictures online of the heart shaped bathtubs, surrounded by mirrors. Educated at London College of Communication, Calypso often inserts herself into her work with a continuing project of self portraits in which she takes on the role of a character named Joyce. Garnering hefty press coverage in publications including Wonderland, The Guardian, VICE, Huffington Post and The Wall Street Journal, those not in immediate proximity of the arts world are now starting to take note. Calypso's exhibition, which kicked off at 71a - a gallery in east London - in October, is most deserving of a look, if only for the green body paint selfie. We eagerly await this talented camera merchant's next move.
