World tennis number one Novak Djokovic has been announced as the latest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador after his work supporting vulnerable children as a UNICEF Serbia Ambassador and through the Novak Djokovic Foundation.

Djokovic, who has helped create pre-school educational programmes and funded an outreach service through his foundation that was so successful it has now been integrated into the Serbian child protection system, commented 'I am honoured to have become a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF, and to continue to help defend and uphold children's rights and provide access to early childhood care and development for every girl and every boy'.
