British fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood has been announced as patron of charity, Children First Derby.

Westwood, who was born in Derbyshire, commented 'With so many government cuts and with charities suffering more than most, it is vital that local charities receive as much help as possible. I am delighted to be associated with Children First Derby and look forward to a long association which will benefit all the vulnerable children, young people and families who receive vital services delivered by Children First Derby'.
