North London singer/songwriter Fran Lobo's debut EP, Beautiful Blood, is set for release July 6.

An accomplished performer and songwriter from a young age, Lobo grew up in Edmonton before studying theatre at Warwick University, where she fronted the university's most popular student rock band and met a number of musicians she'd later collaborate with. After spending a number of years working at F Block in Ealing Film Studios, home of producer Naughty Boy, she struck out on her own, joining the Roundhouse as a resident artist and writing and co-producing her EP alongside James Ellis and Pascal Bideau. With powerful, soulful vocals reminiscent of Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone and a unique sound that combines synth hooks with a vintage keytar, Lobo's destined for big time success.
