Irish actor Colin Farrell has been announced as the Homeless World Cup's latest ambassador, and is to promote the 'power of football to change lives for the better'.
Speaking of the appointment, Farrell said 'I have seen how the Homeless World Cup really does inspire homeless people to change the direction of their lives. The best of all is that everyone can now take part in the action, by joining me in the Homeless World Cup Supporters Club. I encourage fans all around the world to get involved. Change is a team effort!'. Other ambassadors include former footballer Emmanuel Petit and author Irvine Welsh. Amsterdam is to host the 13th annual event, September 12-19.
