Fashion designer Alice Temperley has been announced as an Ambassador of Women for Women International, which helps women facing violence and poverty as a result of war.

As part of her role, Temperley is sponsoring and mentoring a woman in Kosovo who will attend training sessions to enable her to earn an income through the charity's one year training programme, which also helps women to form networks to support each other. Temperley commented 'It is a great honour for me to be named as an Ambassador to this fantastic organisation. I am very inspired by the people behind it and the dedication and support they have put in to teaching women how to survive in the toughest environments'.
