Tim Downie joins forces with Speur-Ghlan

09 06 2015

British actor Tim Downie, known for his roles as explorer Montgomery Clyde in Paddington and The Duke of Gloucester in The King's Speech, has been announced as an ambassador for Scottish autism charity Speur-Ghlan.

The charity, which delivers early intervention programmes for young children diagnosed with autism or with developmental delays, is also backed by actor Kevin Guthrie and singer Gillebride Macmillan. Downie commented 'It is really great to be part of such a special organisation that works with young people and their families with autism and other developmental delays. Speur-Ghlan helps these children to reach their full potential. I was extremely impressed that such a small organisation helps so many young people across Scotland, and am honoured to be an ambassador for them'.
