Helena Bonham Carter teams up with Save the Children

19 05 2015

Helena Bonham Carter, Union J, Dominic West, Ashley Jensen and Myleene Klass have lent their support to Save the Children's #CountdownToZero campaign.

The charity is calling for action after figures showed that 17,000 children are dying every day from preventable causes such as pneumonia and malaria. Klass commented 'We could be the generation to end this. The countdown to get the number of preventable child deaths to zero needs to start now - every child must be able to get basic healthcare - no matter where they're born, who their parents are or how much money they have'. Other celebrities who are supporting the campaign include Sophie Ellis Bextor, Mary Portas, Mel Giedroyc, Arlene Phillips, Melanie Rickey and Kirstie Allsopp.
