Online fashion retailer Net-A-Porter has announced the appointment of Newby Hands as Beauty Director of PORTER and The EDIT.

Hands, who takes up the role in August, joins from feelunique.com, where she has been Content Director since 2013, and Harper's Bazaar, where she was Beauty Director-at-Large. Lucy Yeomans, Editor-in-Chief of PORTER magazine and Content Director of Net-A-Porter.com, said 'Newby's skills and expertise are unrivalled - she is a world authority on beauty, has extensive and expert knowledge of the international beauty industry and possesses the rare skills needed to manage the complexities of both print and e-commerce', while Hands commented 'This role provides me with a wonderful opportunity to work across all aspects of beauty including content creation, editorial, events, commercial projects and e-commerce'.
