West London born Izzy Bizu began climbing the fame ladder by touring with the likes of Sam Smith and Jamie Cullum, but she's now becoming a star in her own right following a major music deal with Epic Records.
Raised by her Ethiopian mother and English father, Bizu grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Betty Swan, along with modern jazz and soul from the likes of Adele and Amy Winehouse. Backed by key figures at the BBC, the 20 year old landed a slot at 2014's Glastonbury Festival on the BBC Introducing stage, after earning support from Fearne Cotton and Zane Lowe. A recurring face on the festival circuit, Bizu is set to perform this year at the Great Escape, along with headlining her own shows in support of her forthcoming debut album and previously released EP Coolbeanz.
