British model and TV presenter Jodie Kidd, along with former rugby player Peter Winterbottom and wounded veteran Duncan Slater, have helped launch Ride of the Lions: Waterloo 200.

The trio are calling on members of the public to sign up for the two day charity cycle ride, taking place June 19 and 20, to commemorate the bicentenary anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, and raise funds for Walking With The Wounded's Head Start programme. Kidd commented 'There's nothing quite like crossing the finish line with your team behind you and the knowledge you've accomplished something quite remarkable. I can't think of a better charity to do this for'.
