Gail Porter, James Argent, Denise Welch, Nicholas Pinnock and Emma Crosby are to join TV presenters Matt Johnson and Anna Williamson in taking part in the Mind 3000s, completing a 24 hour 50km trek across 3000ft mountains on May 14.

The celebrities, who aim to raise £50k for mental health charity Mind, will be split into two teams - Team Wales, comprised of Johnson, Argent and Pinnock, while Team England includes Williamson, Welch, Porter and Crosby. Porter commented 'Through the Mind 3000s we hope to make £50k that Mind desperately needs for services like the Mind Infoline, which receives over 73,000 calls for help every year. Thanks to this ridiculous challenge Mind will be able to do more to support the many people who need them, and that fact alone makes it worth every step'.
