Sky Sports News presenter Kirsty Gallacher has helped kick off Dogs Trust's new campaign, Be Dog Smart, which aims to educate the public on how to stay safe around dogs, and urges parents never to leave children alone with any dog.

Gallacher, a mum of two, commented 'As a mum to little boys and owner of our bulldog, I know how important it is for children to behave safely around dogs. My boys recognise that George is not a toy but an animal with feelings and boundaries, George is a respected part of our family and a best friend to my children.
