23 year old American actor Jessie Usher has steadily been making a name for himself in the US with roles in TV shows such as Hannah Montana and The Mentalist, however after landing one of the leads in Independence Day 2, the star is now set for the big time.

Usher, who began acting at the age of five, scoring his first job in an advert, will play the grown-up son of Will Smith's character from the first film and will star in the big budget feature alongside Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum, as it goes into production this spring.
