18 year old Yas Necati is making waves in the world of activism campaigning for gender rights, better sex education and joining the fight against everyday sexism.
Taking a lead role in the No More Page 3 campaign, the London-born teenager was named one of the BBC's 100 Women of 2014 and has been backed by the Guardian and the Telegraph as one to watch. The young feminist got the attention of politicians and charities alike when she started a petition for improvements to sex education in schools, which resulted in the first changes being made to the curriculum since 2000. Having already spoken in parliament, on Sky and BBC News and at events for Plan UK and Mumsnet, Necati has a busy 2015 planned, managing the Powered By Girl organisation, running the Campaign4Consent campaign against sexual assault and writing her first book on teen feminism.
