Swedish/Australian electro pop band Kate Boy have already created industry noise in their native Stockholm after releasing their debut EP in 2012 and are now set to take British shores by storm.

After being hyped-up in the latter part of 2014 by the likes of NME and Pitchfork magazine, Scandinavia's hottest musical exports are hitting the international festival circuit again in 2015 by performing at SXSW, Razzmatazz and Dour Festival. Formed by chance in 2011 after Kate Akhurst was introduced to now bandmates Hampus Nordgren Hemlin and Markus Dextegen, the trio went straight to writing and working in the studio, which in part, influenced their unusual name. Deciding to name themselves after a fictional fifth member which reflected their equal songwriting process, Kate Boy was born. In subsequent years they've released critically acclaimed tracks Northern Lights and In Your Eyes, toured Europe and are now set to release their debut full-length album in late 2015.
