Alessandro Michele named Gucci Creative Director

Alessandro Michele has been named Creative Director for Gucci, taking over from Frida Giannini, with his first collection in his new role to be presented at the women's autumn/winter 2015 show in Milan, February 25.

Michele, who joined the Gucci design team in 2002, presented his new line Urban Romanticism in Milan on Monday as head accessories designer, and was also named the creative director of Gucci-owned porcelain brand Richard Ginori in September.
