Latvian born, New York based artist Kruglyanskaya, 36, has presented several solo exhibitions, with her restless, cartoony paintings attracting rave reviews from critics.
In 2011, a solo show led to a gig at Barneys NYC, where her paintings - trapezoids of 'busty, knock-kneed women'- dominated the store's windows, and the artist (more often than not clad in a L'Wren Scott frock) refers to her work as 'tongue-in-cheek feminism'. Her first show outside the US was held at London's Studio Voltaire this year, where the insiders' buzz was quite simply 'Ella is going to be huge. Huge. Huge'.
