American author Victoria Aveyard is set to publish her debut novel Red Queen, the first offering in a fantasy trilogy, in February.

The Young Adult book from Aveyard, a University of Southern California alum, follows poverty stricken Reds who live under the rule of elite warriors, the Silvers. The film rights to the book were optioned by Universal in April 2013, with Breaking Bad's Gennifer Hutchison, and Divergent's Pouya Shahbazian, attached as screenwriter and producer respectively.
