Actress Suranne Jones, best known for roles in Scott & Bailey, Coronation Street and The Crimson Line, has been announced as celebrity patron of Penny Brohn Cancer Care, which provides complementary care for people suffering from cancer and those supporting them.

Jones commented 'It amazes me that such an important charity still has quite low awareness and I think it's really important that more people know about the support it provides, so more people can get access to their life-changing services'.
