Gillian Anderson, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Maria Sharapova and Nicole Appleton are among celebrities who've helped launch Avon UK and Glamour magazine's Wall Of Silence campaign.

The initiative aims to raise awareness and money for Women's Aid and Refuge, and encourages the public to post 'shhh' selfies with the hashtag #WallOfSilence on social media sites. Avon will donate £1 to the domestic violence charities for every picture posted.
