Mike & Molly actress Melissa McCarthy has announced the launch of her own fashion line in collaboration with Sunrise Brands.

The as-yet-untitled collection will launch with sportswear next year, followed by further apparel, accessories and beauty products rolling out in 2016 and 2017. Before pursuing a career in acting and comedy, McCarthy wanted to be a fashion designer and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She commented 'I was obsessed with Jean Paul Gaultier. I still have the scrapbooks and I've kept all my designs and sketches. I loved the playfulness of fashion'.
