Welsh singer Aled Jones has helped launch The Abbeyfield Society's Coping at Christmas 2014 campaign.

The initiative tackles the loneliness and isolation that older people face during the festive period by offering free Christmas meals, events, and overnight stays for those who don't want to wake up in an empty house on December 25. Jones said 'I'm proud to be lending my support to Coping at Christmas and to helping bring joy to so many older people who will be welcomed at Abbeyfield's houses and homes up and down the UK'.
